As a pure vegetarian and a North Indian, it’s always difficult to find good restaurants to satisfy your taste buds. So to explore vegetarian food as well as to satisfy my taste buds I went to one of the finest Vegetarian restaurant i.e. Khandhani Rajdhani at Indiranagar Outlet in Bangalore.
I was exploring vegetarian options in Bangalore and I came across Rajdhani. At first, I checked their website where it stated that Rajdhani, ‘The Vegetarian Thali’ Restaurant which is the flagship brand of Mirah Hospitality has spread its aroma in this industry over the past few decades. Known as a “thali place” with 72 different rotating menus with 22,464 delicacies from Gujarat and Rajasthan.
I was so amazed to know that they offer 72 different varieties of food and that too all Vegetarian dishes. The outlet was located at 100 Feet Road Indiranagar and I reached there around 10 PM. Valet parking was available. To my surprise even at late hour staff were enthusiastic and service was quick and good.
The meal started with three snacks like dhokla, small samosa and kachori chat. Along with snacks they also served the different type of chutneys which were as delicious as snacks. Then there was authentic Rajasthan Daal Batti Churma which was yum.
As you start eating your snacks, servers will fill up curry bowls which include Gatte Ki Sabji, Paneer, Alu etc. And then the Fulkas, Puri and Missi roti. White Rice and Khichdi will be served on request. Then there were sweets like Gulab Jamun, Sooji Halwa and my favourite Jalebi. And the best of them was buttermilk.
The food quality was OK but not that great. There were few items which were exceptionally good and they were Gatte Ki Sabzi, Sooji Halwa, Daal Bati Churma. But Kachori Chat and Khichdi were not as good as rest of them.
One thing I liked about them is that the servers use sign language instead of calling out what you want. That was something impressive because to remember sign language for around 72 dishes was great.
Last but not the least their mouth freshener which was as amazing as the food. They have total of 5 mouth freshener and each one has its own unique taste.
